Attn Doctors and Nurses....Question about Risperdal...?

I have been taking Risperdal for the past year by prescription from my dr. At my last visit, we decided to wean me off of it and see how I do. We gradually weaned my doses, and I have been off of it now for 2 weeks.
Since then, I havent been sleeping well. My hubby tells me that I am yelling and screaming in my sleep, and talking a lot too. I have never talked in my sleep before. Has anyone ever had this happen to them or heard of this happening after discontinuing this drug? I have looked it up online but cant find anything on these symptoms... I dont know whether it is common or not, and I dont know whether I should call my doctor or not. I'm afraid that if I call her, she will put me back on the drug, and I am trying to get off the pills so my hubby and I can start a family. Any insight would be appreciated. Thanks in advance

Im not sure if this will be helpful or not, but I have been taking risperdal since may ( no higher than 2.5mg a day) and have recently tapered down to 1mg daily. I've been having terrifying nightmares, thinking that I am dying, and I can only atrribute this to the medication taper. Risperdal suppresses the amount of Dopamine in your brain, and once the drug is discontinued, the dopamine system can go into a sort of overdrive, which may be causing your symptoms. Hope this helps.
