The far-right, Rush Limbaugh Republicans hate John McCain....he is a moderate by Republican standards.
Many of us moderate democrats, not satisfied with our party's nominee are planning on voting for the moderate McCain.
This will leave the Democratic party in ruins, with only the very young, the very black, and the very far left.
Because of the sheer number of us moderates then voting Republican, and the fact that we will have a moderate Republican president...do you think that this will force the Republican party to move more to the center? And, possibly force those ultra-conservative right wing-nuts to form another party, as they will be unsatisified with us rifraf that has been let in to their party?

interesting. but you do know the middle would always win. the moderates are the ones who sway the election, not the hard core party voters.
the republican and democratic parties have both been gradually moving farther and farther left to the point that now i have to judge a politician based on more or less liberal rather than liberal or conservative.
the very very few true conservatives would not stand a chance.
