why do my subwoofers cut out when i brake?
i have a camaro and i put a high-performence 200 amp alternator in with an optima redtop battery. the power cables are ran on the opposite side of the car as the speaker/signal wire, and the grounds of the two amps are drilled seperatly and grinded down to bare metal. the problem is when i am driving listening to my stereo at a decent volume and i brake my car, the subs distort. what could cause this problem?
"the grounds of the two amps are drilled seperatly" the grounds should actually be together. Power is from the same location, why not ground?
