Camisoles: A camisole is usually a delicate little top that is made from sheer fabric. A camisole doesn't have to be tightly fitted and doesn't come with bra support like a basque or a bustier does. Camisoles can be worn as vests under sheer clothing or as night wear.
Chemise: A chemise is normally used as nightwear, but can be worn during the day if the chemise in particular is suitable enough. Chemises are normally strappy night gowns that cover to the thighs. Some may have splits in the legs and can be worn as club wear rather than night wear.
So, next time you are lingerie shopping, either for yourself or for your partner, make sure you are buying the right type of item. Lingerie is always best when it fits the wearer properly.
