Sexy Pantyhose Tights
Why are seamed tights/stockings/pantyhose/whatever considered so "sexy"?
Sure, the contrast seam down the back elongates the leg, and I guess the seam does "point to the butt" (though I find that's a bit of a stretch), but other than that they pretty much just look like regular neutral toned tights to me.
The only difference to me is the line. I don't understand how a line can be considered sexy. Is it just me? Am I too innocent or am I oblivious or something? Or maybe it's the history behind it (some people say only whores wore them or something xD) but I can't find any reliable source to look into that.
It's the nature of the garment itself: you know it's there - the line tells you so - but you can see right through it anyway, and guys instinctively respond to something they can see through (and, they hope, get to remove). Yes, this makes no sense. Then again, during WWII, when there was no silk to be had - it all went to parachutes - women actually drew seams down the backs of their legs. (See Truffaut's "The Last Metro" for an example.)
