I need help making a Red Riding Hood costume?
Yes, I'm already excited for halloween. : )
I want to do kind of a diy/ thrift store costume this year, so I was going to make the cloak myself, but after that I'm pretty lost.
White dress? Red dress? Corset? Stockings? Flats? Heels? Does anyone have any ideas that would make a really cute costume?

I think it is truly awesome that you want to create your own costume instead of purchasing a premade mass marketed garment. Huzzah for creativity!
The question you have to ask yourself is do you want to go for a, um, adult look or a Grim Brother's look, a 1940s look, historical, or anything other style that's appealing to you!
How cool would a Steampunk Lil' Red be? You could make a weapon and call it the "Wolf Atomizer 3000."
You could do a very 1950's housewife outfit with a typical dress, red pumps, cloak, and of course you'd need an apron.
You can also play up the Brother's Grim side of the tale, and make yourself look haunted. It's pretty easy to give yourself dark circles, mess up your hair, and look bedraggled.
Good luck!! It's so nice to see another person wanting to create their own costumes, instead of just purchasing manufactured things.
Oh, one final note. Don't try to make a corset, if you decide you need one purchase it. Boning is Not your friend!
