Styles Colors Sizes
What should I do with 26 empty, backless, glassless wood frames?
I have received (free) 26 interesting wooden frames in various sizes, styles, colors and conditions. Some of them are identical, some are the same style but different sizes. I have a few ideas, but am looking for a few more.
I'm thinking they might go on the wall in my master suite like a collage. Some with pictures but some without. I need some more ideas, I love trying to be creative, so bring it on.

I like your idea. I agree that they need something to tie them all together. I'd paint them all the same color - either contrasting with the color of the wall you plan to hang them - or else a tone similar (not the same) to the wall.
Each way yields a different effect.

I would make it stand out less than that photo, on a smaller scale and make it so it could fade back to the wall as though it just tapers off into nothing. I would put all my contrasting frames on the wall over the mural so it looked like the artwork had exploded out of the frames.
