Tights Combo Black
Would you wear this combo?
I have an adorable grey denim mini skirt, but it's getting kind of cold, but not cold enough yet for boots.. Could I wear it with black tights and black flats? What top? Thanks!
To be honest, it completely depends on what look you're going for. Personally, I'm totally a fan of Blair Waldorf from Gossip Girl. So here's a few tips if it were me:
For a pausé and chic outfit but with a zest of personality, I'd wear a couple of "sober" colours, and one that pops.
What you could do:
- plain black top (for instance a really light turtleneck with mid-arm sleeves but not a strappy top)
- grey denim skirt
- POP-y tights (blue, purple, red, green...)
- black flats
or
- POP-y top (blue, purple, red, green, mustard, dark fuschia...)
- grey denim skirt
- sheer black tights
- black flats
And accessorise! But don't overdo the accessorising. For instance if you're going to wear a chunky necklace, just wear discreet stud ear-rings. If you're going to wear a belt, wear a discreet necklace and big ear-rings. It's all about balancing it out. I'd wear lots of bangles though, but that's just me.
Hair-wise: a clean-cut up-do (bun or ponytail) or even a headband with a giant bow on top! (but remember to balance out the accessories)
I'd wear a plain navy blazer and a tote bag, or even a classic Longchamps-type bag.
