Tights Opaque Pantyhose
Is it okay for a guy to wear tights or pantyhose?
I am a straight guy. I like wearing tights (opaque and sheer) under my jeans. Partly for warmth but also because they feel nice. They are better fitting and more comfortable than traditional long johns. Would women find this really weird or off-putting? Do you know any guys who wear them?
I wouldn't mind it.. especially in cold weather regions.. it sure does help you keep warmer.. and also if you like the feel, go for it...
And its sure neither uncommon, nor unusual, only usually kept private due to societial perceptions I guess (refer Link-1 - UK). I guess guys wear it for quite a few reasons such as: sports, warmth, medical, look-n-feel, fetish or even cross-dressing. Whatever is your excuse, just go for it but try and keep it discrete from people around you, as not everyone who finds out would be as acceptable, and might make fun of it.
Besides, there's also proof that wearing tights on long-haul flights relieves ankle swelling and helps ward off post-flight fatigue, a study of pilots and passengers has found. About 60 Qantas pilots and passengers were enlisted to test the hosiery, wearing it on one leg of a trip and flying tights-free on the return leg. More studies are underway to investigate whether tights could be more effective than the standard issue knee-high compression socks.(Source:Link-2 - Australia)
Who knows as trends/fashions/social-perceptions change, in a few decades it might become socially acceptable, at least in the more modern countries.
