Changing Skin Care Regimens With Seasons
Your skin is not the same across all seasons of the year. In the winter, it becomes dry and flaky, in the summer it becomes prone to sun burns and in the rainy season, it becomes overtly oily because of the humidity.
As the colder draws to a close, it is a good time to update your skin care regimen and prepare your skin for the approaching warm weather. Here are some tips to help.
Exfoliate
Exfoliation scrapes off dead cells from the surface and promote the generation of new fresh cells from underneath. It is a great way to make the skin smooth and healthy and prepare it for the warmer months ahead. If you were exfoliating once in a month in winter, in the summer you should exfoliate about twice a week.
Use a good exfoliating skin care product that is not very harsh but removes the dead skin layer effectively.

Obagi Nu Derm Exfoderm Forte
It is a superb exfoliating lotion that contains alpha-hydroxy acids in a special base that makes the skin smooth and tones damaged skin. It is especially suitable for normal to oily skin.

It is another great exfoliating lotion that caters to normal to dry skin types. It contains phytic acid to make the skin smooth and supple and tones the skin texture.
Nia 24 Physical Cleansing Scrub
This scrub contains Niacin to the skin that improves the overall skin tone and texture. It is non-comedogenic, fragrance and color free. It reduces hyper pigmentation and protects the skin against sun damage. With regular use it also diminishes the appearance of wrinkles and fine lines.
Update your Moisturizer
While you need to use heavier moisturizers in winter to relieve the dry skin, summer is a time when you need to switch to a lighter version. This is because warmer weather has high humidity levels that make you sweat and further increase the production of natural oils within the skin cells. For the warmer months, use a lightweight oil-free moisturizer that gently hydrates the skin without making it too oily and greasy.
iS Clinical Hydra Cool Serum
It is a hydrating serum that soothes the skin and controls the occurrence of acne. It contains botanicals and bio-nutrients and is great for sunburns. It performs well when used as an after shaving product.
Kinerase Cream
It is a great moisturizing cream that offers anti-aging benefits as well. It improves the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles and increases the skin's capacity to retain moisture. Kinerase cream contains Kinetin, a plant based agent that helps the skin retain moisture.
Increase the SPF in Sunscreen
Winter is a time when you like to snuggle inside the cozy confines of your home. But summer is a time to go out and flaunt your beautiful skin outdoors! And this necessitates very abundant use of the sunscreen. Pick a sunscreen that has an SPF of at least 30 that offers broad spectrum protection against the UVA as well as the UVB rays of the sun. Make sure you slather on sunscreen liberally all over the exposed areas of your body at least 15 minutes before venturing out in the sun.
